INTEGRATED MATH 1

How can we model for the safety and profitability of the business?

Students learn about mathematical modeling, variables, expressions, functions, and spreadsheets as they help to answer some questions posed to them by the CEO of 'Bridge Bungees.'

JOURNEY of a LIFETIME

How long would it take to travel around the world? And what could we learn about along the way about the mathematics of various cultures?

Students learn about rate, linear functions and equations, and graphical interpretation as they take a trip around the world. They stop to learn the math history of peoples of South America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.

Wealth of a Nation

How is wealth distributed in the United States and elsewhere?

Students learn about data representation and statistical reasoning as they consider the complexities of wealth distribution, potential causes, social ramifications, and their future.

FASCINATING FRACTALS

Can we count something that is infinite?

Students learn about patterns, recursion, and sequences as they explore the mind-bending world of fractal geometry. They consider the paradox of measuring a shape that is infinitely complex.
